This Cuban artist works in the field of design, video, installations, and photography.

From the beginning of her career, Glenda León’s work appears innovative within the context of Cuban art for its approach to conceptual art. She uses unusual materials such as natural and artificial flowers, hair, chewing gum, etc.

León often works with raw materials and music byproducts, transforming them to show their metaphorical power.

León represented Cuba at the 55th Venice Biennale, Italy, 2013 and was invited to the Bienal de La Habana, Cuba, in 2003, 2009, and 2015.
