XIX Bienal de Arte Paiz

TRANSVISIBLE

This Biennial was presented as a process of transformation where art is the  transformative tool thanks to the effort and passion of a group of thinkers, curators, artists, and a participating public with significant concerns.

Venezuelan-British Cecilia Fajardo-Hill led the curatorial group, composed of Anabella Acevedo, Rosina Cazali, and Pablo José Ramírez .

The XIX Bienal de Arte Paiz was held under the title Transvisible (between what no longer is and what still isn’t), which was the result of a contextualized curatorial exercise, a critical and self-critical look. The title included the conceptual and playful, with the ability to contain the political and poetic, the subjective and critical through four themes that were: Specificities which name themselves; Healing and self-knowledge; Masculinity and violence; and Body/territory/sexuality.
