Alexandra Grant uses the language and words networks as a basis for her work in painting, drawing, and sculpture. She has presented her work at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Baltimore, and at Mains d’Oeuvres, Saint Ouen, France.

To work with language, Grant seeks the support of artists and writers such as collaborators author Michael Joyce, actor Keaunu Reeves, artist Channing Hansen, and philosopher Hélène Cixous.

Grant investigates the essence of language to translate words into images, oral or written representations, two-dimensional forms, and three-dimensional objects.
