Also known as karmadavis,  David Pérez began his work in 2003, directly linking the body in its traditional form within perfomance and ritual. Over time his interests turned  outward focusing on the immigration issue and the relationship between individuals of different nationalities sharing the same territory.

Eventually these actions, called static actions, extended to collective forms. Later this process was simplified in structures of incomplete elements which fit and come together, completing  each  other. From 2013 to date he continues to produce “Morisoñando caribbean recipes,” a multimedia project that uses gastronomy in conversation with other media.

He has exhibited at the XVIII Bienal de Arte Paiz, Guatemala, 2012, and the 54th Venice Biennale, Italy, 2011.
