This Chilean artist is one of the most important sculptors of his country. Cristián Salineros  studied printing at the Taller de Artes Visuales (T.A.V.) and earned a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a major in sculpture from the Universidad Arcis, Chile. In 2003 he won the German DAAD academic scholarship for postgraduate studies in the Kuntakademie in Dusseldorf, Germany.

He has had solo and group exhibitions in Chile and abroad in Germany, Argentina, United States, Bolivia, among others.

He has been awarded Fondart (National Fund for the Development of the Arts) four times and has twice received the “Friends of Art”scholarship.

Since 2000 Salineros holds various academic posts at the university level and as director of undergraduate and graduate theses. He is also responsible for the artistic and curatorial program of Sala A.M. at the Facultad Universidad Mayor in Chile.
